LASUTH RECEIVES DEFIBRILLATOR MONITOR MACHINE FROM CLASS 12B SPECIAL, LAGOS STATE SCHOOL OF NURSING AWOLOWO ROAD

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Was Graciously Gifted With A Defibrillator Monitor Machine By The Alumni Of Class 12B Special, Lagos State School Of Nursing Awolowo Road In Celebration Of Their 43rd Anniversary And To Support The Lagos State Government’s Effort In The Health Sector. The Donation Took Place On Friday 3rd October, 2025.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo. O Fabamwo In His Welcome Address Congratulated The Class Members For Attaining The Forty-three Year Milestone And Said Their Set Was Lucky To Have Gone Through The Institution, Graduated And Became Well Trained Nurses. He Further Encouraged The Association Members To Have Roundtable Discussions On Standardizing The Acquisition Of Degrees In Nursing Should Be Brought To Fore As Other Professions In The Medical Line Are Now Graduating Students With Degrees.

The CMD Promised That The Machine Will Be Well Looked After And Used Judiciously To Serve The Purpose It Is Meant For.

The President Of The Class, Mrs. Helen Senbajo In Her Remark Said The 2nd Of October 2025, Exactly, Marks Their 46th Year Of Graduation From The Lagos State School Of Nursing Awolowo Road Ikoyi. She Said As Nurses, They Identify Closely With The Challenges Patients` Face And Are Willing To Help In Alleviating Such Pressures By Making Available Beneficial Equipment To Hospitals, Hence, The Donation. She Believes The Donation Will Support The Various Initiatives By The Lagos State Government In Providing Quality Healthcare Services.

Also Present At The Ceremony Were Members Of The LASUTH Top Management Team, Including Professor Adebowale O. Adekopya, Director Of Clinical Services And Training; Mrs. Olayinka Oye-Bamgbose, Director Hospital Administration And Human Resources; Director Nursing Services, Mrs. Adebola Aina; Dr. Bamidele Ayodele, Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, (Clinical Services I) And Dr. Olayinka Olawoye, Deputy Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, (Clinical Services II).
