LASUTH Graduates Third Set Of Caregiver’s Academy Students

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Has Graduated The Third Set Of Students From Its Caregiver’s Academy On Thursday, September 25, 2025.

A Total Of Ninety-six Students Successfully Completed The Program, With The Ceremony Graced By Dignitaries From The Lagos State Health Sector And Other Top Government Functionaries.

In His Opening Remarks, The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, Represented By The Director Of Clinical Services And Training, Prof. Adebowale Adekoya, Congratulated The Graduating Students. He Noted That The Academy Has Contributed Immensely To Human Capacity Development, As Past Graduates Are Already Working Across The Globe, Showcasing LASUTH As Their Foundation.

Prof. Adekoya Also Commended The CMD, Describing Him As The Visionary Behind The Academy. He Emphasized That LASUTH’s Continuous Innovations In Upgraded Infrastructure, Quality Manpower, And Expanded Services Remain A Proof To Its Excellence. He Further Urged The Graduands To Be Worthy Ambassadors, Having Been Trained By Some Of The Best Hands In One Of Africa’s Foremost Tertiary Health Institutions.

Delivering His Goodwill Message, The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board, Dr. Ibrahim Mustapha, Praised Prof. Fabamwo And The LASUTH Management For Their Strides In Transforming The Hospital And Producing World-class Medical Professionals. He Described LASUTH As A Recognized And Highly Respected Tertiary Health Institution In Sub-Saharan Africa, With Its Name “imprinted In Gold” In The Medical Sector.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Establishment And Training, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, Congratulated The Graduands For Choosing LASUTH As A Place To Gain Knowledge In Caregiving. She Encouraged Them To Seek Innovative Ways Of Applying And Improving On What They Have Learned.

Representing The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry Of Health, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, The Director Of Medical Administration And Training, Dr. Mazeedah Eriniosho, Commended The Graduands And Highlighted That Caregiving Requires Dedication And The Willingness To Go The Extra Mile. She Warmly Congratulated Them, Assuring That “the Sky Is Their Starting Point.”

The Overall Best Graduating Student, Ms. Osanyin Lillian Chinwe, In Her Valedictory Speech, Expressed Deep Appreciation To LASUTH Management For Establishing The Caregiver’s Academy. She Pledged To Make The Hospital Proud In Her Future Endeavors.
