LASUTH CMD INDUCTED AS A FOUNDATION FELLOW OF THE WEST AFRICAN COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICIANS AND GYNAECOLOGISTS

Professor Adetokunbo O Fabamwo, The Chief Medical Director Of The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Was Inducted As A Foundation Fellow Of The West African College Of Obstetricians And Gynaecologists On Friday 30th Of August, 2024.

The High Profile Event Took Place At The Wellcome Centre Hotel, Airport Road, Lagos.

In His Remarks, The President Of The College, Professor Brian Adinma Stated That The Foundation Fellows Were An Elite Cohort Of Carefully Selected Consultant Obstetricians And Gynaecologists Who Had Contributed Immensely Towards The Uplifting Of The Standard Of Women's Health In Subsaharan Africa.

Professor Fabamwo Obtained His First Medical Degree From The University Of Ife, Ile Ife In 1978. He Obtained The Fellowship Of The Nigerian Medical College In Obstetrics And Gynaecology (FMCOG) In 1986. He Is A Fellow Of The West African College Of Surgeons (FWACS) Fellow Of The International College Of Surgeons (FICS), Fellow Of The Academy Of Medical Specialities (FAMedSc) As Well As A Fellow Of The Nigerian Academy Of Medicine (FNAMed).

Other LASUTH Obstetricians And Gynaecologists Inducted Were Professor Oluwarotimi Ireti Akinola, Past President Of SOGON, Professor Yusuf Oshodi And Dr Modupe Adedeji.
