The Top Management Committee (TMC) Of The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Held A Dignified Send-off Ceremony In Honour Of Four Distinguished Members Whose Retirements And Transfers Mark Significant Milestones In Their Civil Service Careers On Monday, 2nd March 2026.
The Event Celebrated Their Years Of Dedicated Service And Institutional Impact. Honoured Were Mrs. Adebola Ebinisi Aina, Director Of Nursing Services, And Mr. Kamardeen Bakare, Director Of Legal Services, Both Retiring From The Lagos State Civil Service; As Well As Mr. Olukayode Oyedele, Deputy Director, Finance & Accounts, And Former Head, Sub-Treasury Unit, Now Transferred To The Office Of The Public Defender, Ministry Of Justice; And Engr. Ahmed Opeifa, Deputy Director And Former Head, Information & Communications Technology Unit, Redeployed To The Ministry Of Housing.
In His Remarks, The Chief Medical Director Of LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, Commended The Celebrants For Their Steadfast Commitment To Service, Integrity, And Institutional Growth. Drawing Inspiration From The Holy Bible In 2 Timothy 4:7 And Isaiah 46:4, The CMD Encouraged The Retirees To View Retirement Not As An End, But As The Commencement Of A New Season Of Greater Accomplishments And Fulfilment.
He Acknowledged Their Invaluable Contributions To Strengthening The Hospital, Noting That Their Legacies Would Remain Deeply Woven Into The Fabric Of LASUTH’s Continued Progress. He Concluded With Prayers For Divine Guidance, Sound Health, And Enduring Success In Their Future Endeavors.
Other Members Of The Top Management Committee Took Turns To Deliver Heartfelt Tributes And Goodwill Messages, Reflecting On The Professionalism, Mentorship, Diligence, And Collaborative Spirit That Each Of The Celebrants Brought To The Committee. The Atmosphere Was Marked By Appreciation And Camaraderie, As They Shared Fond Memories And Recounted Milestones Achieved During The Honorees’ Tenure.
In Her Response, Mrs. Adebola Ebinisi Aina Expressed Profound Gratitude To The CMD And The Management Of LASUTH For Providing An Enabling Environment That Made Her Meritorious Career Both Impactful And Fulfilling. She Noted That She Would Always Cherish The Relationships Built And The Milestones Recorded During Her Years Of Service.
Likewise, Mr. Kamardeen Bakare, On His Part, Reflected Appreciatively On His Time At LASUTH, Describing His Stint As Rewarding And Enlightening Despite Its Brevity. He Thanked The Management For The Opportunity To Serve And For The Cooperation Extended To Him During The Time Spent.
Mr. Olukayode Oyedele, Now Transferred To The Office Of The Public Defender, Ministry Of Justice, Stated That He Would Not Trade His LASUTH Experience For Anything, As It Afforded Him Broad Exposure And Practical Insights Across Diverse Operational Spheres Under The Leadership Of Prof. Fabamwo. He Affirmed That The Knowledge And Experience Garnered Would Greatly Enhance His Performance In His New Assignment.
Engr. Ahmed Opeifa Also Acknowledged That His Three-month Membership Of The TMC Provided Him With Deeper Insight Into Top-tier Management Operations And Strategic Decision-making Processes. He Assured Members That He Would Implement Key Lessons And Institutional Best Practices In His New Role At The Ministry Of Housing, Thereby Extending LASUTH’s Standards Of Excellence Beyond Its Walls.
